Spend the day with incredible rural art
Iowa’s Wayne County Culture Trail includes sixteen murals painted in 2023 by the Walldogs mural group.
Each mural reflects a unique element of local (and American!) heritage: Farm Aid, men’s and women’s baseball, the Mormon Trail, Jesse James’ bank robberies, the world’s most famous tattoo artist, and many other subjects.
The trail takes approximately 2 hours by car — but we suggest getting out and seeing the murals up close. We also recommend exploring other sites, restaurants, and shops along the way.
